Testimonials

Sept 2008- Kimberley and Richard – Local

Brilliant service and communication. She is friendly, helpful, enthusiastic and so talented. Couldn’t be happier with the results and would and do recommend Vanessa’s photography to all. Have had so many compliments on our photos and we had such fun creating them it was well worth the fee.

July 4th  2009 – Janelle and Justin – Local

If anyone has seen your iconic bridal portrait at the Pillars of Hercules in Antigua, they will likely understand why persons gravitate towards the honesty, beauty and attention to detail which is typical of your work. Away from the camera, you were professional, organised, and provided an additional perspective which served to enhance the way in which we and other participants approached immortalizing such an important part of their/our lives. Thank you so much for being so accommodating during the entire process of our wedding and TTD photography. It was exactly what we – a “photogenically challenged” couple – needed, in ways we did and didn’t expect. I know that all the photos will be fantastic; so fantastic, in fact, that my mother will forget that my/her/our beloved wedding dress has traipsed over rock and sand, and under water, after gracing the pristine floors at St George’s church.

July 31st 2009 – Seanna and Skin – Jolly Beach Resort

We are so pleased with the pictures. THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL!!! The TTD ones are HOT!!
Thank you again for all your time, patience and creativity you put into our wedding and for providing us with such beautiful memories that we can look back on for years to come. We have gotten such great feedback on all the pictures. Everyone thinks your work is beautiful and you did such an amazing job capturing our special day. We can’t stop looking at them and cannot thank you enough for your vision and creativity in making our wedding memories so extraordinary.

Oct 2009 – Tisha and Criss – Sandals off Property session

In 2009, I stayed at Sandals Antigua for my destination wedding. Once you book your stay at Sandals and let them know that you want to have a wedding there; they give you a contact who will be your wedding coordinator. One of the first things they send you is a list of services for your wedding and on this list is some photography options. If you have been to an all-inclusive before, the people that take your photo while you are at dinner will be the same person that takes your wedding photos. This may or may not be an issue for you depending on how you value your wedding photos. For my husband and I, it was an issue that we had no control over who would take the photos for our special day, you didn’t get to see their work before you wedding, meet them or talk to them before your wedding. This made me nervous and I decided to start looking for a local photographer.  At best, you can have a friend take photos in addition to the Sandals Photographer but hiring your own photographer to come onto the Sandals property is not an option.  Hopefully one day, Sandals will realize that as a bride, we want to have a little more say in who is taking those important photos!  I began researching the local photographers and their work on-line. I was looking at their work/photos and I found a local photographer, Vanessa Hall. We decided to do an After session or Trash the Dress session with Vanessa if she was available after our wedding. I loved Vanessa’s work on her website and wanted to be sure that we had some great wedding pictures, so I wore a dress that I didn’t mind getting wet or sandy and my husband wore his linen pants and a linen shirt. We spent about 4 hours with Vanessa and her assistant taking photos off of the resort and it was a great experience. I just couldn’t chance my wedding photos to a person that was employed by Sandals because I wasn’t able to meet this person before the wedding or talk to them or see their work. I literally met our Sandals photographer right before I walked down the beach to our ceremony. Our photos were too important to chance on our special day and that’s why we ended up hiring Vanessa who we were able to meet a few days before hand and we saw plenty of her work on-line.

November 2009 -Naomi and Aidan – Blue Waters Hotel

It was just by chance that we found Vanessa Hall online when we were researching photographers in Antigua. The pictures on her website were amazing and just what we were looking for. Vanessa definitely didn’t disappoint! Aidan and I were getting married at Bluewaters in St Johns, Antigua and as we had no family or friends with us, she not only provided a first class professional service but was very supportive and friendly too. When we received our pictures we were blown away-she managed to capture the spirit of the day in every photograph and even managed to make me look the beautiful bride I wanted to be even though, as I warned her, I’m very unphotogenic!

I think photographs are one of the most important aspects of a wedding-they act as your memories for the rest of your life and its essential you love them! I can say, hand on my heart, that Vanessa gave us this gift and I really believe there is no one who could have done a better job. Thank you Vanessa! We are forever in your debt!

Dec 2009- Ashley and Ross – Jumby Bay

Planning a wedding can be a stressful ordeal, no matter how small the wedding party…when you factor in marrying abroad and not being able to meet with the people involved in this (face-to-face) prior to the ceremony, you just have to go with your gut instinct. That being said, I’m thankful our instincts were right. Vanessa did a phenomenal job! She requested to meet with us the day before just to recap our expectations for the photos. She was extremely helpful and also thorough in making sure (in our preoccupied frame of mind) everything we truly wanted to focus on would be captured in our pictures. Just the fact alone that she took the long ferry ride from the mainland to come and see us for a brief meeting the day before was flattering enough…and also highlighted her sincere desire to make sure we were more than satisfied with the end result….which we were! When I looked through the pictures I was initially and understandably very teary eyed…then when I looked at the photos themselves – amazed. Her eye for capturing a moment is uncanny…If you want stoic, dated, posed wedding photos I’m sure she could handle that as well — but if you want heartfelt, beautiful moments artfully captured then you actually need Vanessa. She is an absolute artist!
