Vanessa Hall
The bio – the biggest fear in my life other than sharks, barracudas, big overhead waves and Cuban frogs.
I have a fear of writing and more so writing about myself. The last thing I want to do is start my bio off with…..Hi , my name is Vanessa Hall, I’m 34 years old and from Antigua. To me, that equals boring. I have no idea when to insert commas. How to use they, there and their. On top of that, how do I tell my life story so it isn’t boring for people to read.
On my hard drive, are 2 pages of rambling. I’ve read it, re read it, scrapped it, started over and at present I’m stuck in a bullet form of nonsense. So today on the flight from London to Palma, my bio was on my mind and……………
I’m Vanessa Hall, aka V, Ness, Van, Princess, Vaness , I live in paradise and travel the world. This, is my story…..

The Caribbean is an idyllic destination for weddings, yet every love story is unique and special. I witness these beautiful moments of love and laughter behind the camera. We all have emotions within us that make us laugh or cry and this is the magic of a photo that tells a story. This is why I love what I do. It is through each story that I can display my creativity and I live for that in every wedding I shoot.
I’ve spent most of my life on the beaches and waters around Antigua, my dad got me into fishing as a pickney (kid) and I compete in tournaments for fun as this has always been a big part of my life. Weekends off in the busy wedding season are rare , when they do come around Seumas and I enjoy spending time fishing, camping, sup boarding and kiting ( I haven’t attempted the kiting thing, a little nervous, too many strings and things to navigate )
On occasion you’ll see Seumas pop up on this blogsite, he’s my love story. We’ve been dating for almost 3 years now and my life has been an adventure from the very first day we met, I ended up on crutches on our very 1st date!! Told you he was adventurous

Seumas is a yachtsman, we first met when the yacht, Velsheda, he was working on sailed into Antigua . Four months later, I waved goodbye to my family and off we sailed from Antigua to Southampton, UK. Velsheda’s busy schedule kept us apart for most of that summer season and the first half of the winter season, with many short visits back and forth, skype sessions daily, emails, text messages, phone calls, before you knew it Velsheda was back in Antigua. The date was an omen, Feb 14th 2008 to be precise, the perfect valentines gift
As some of you know, it’s not easy spending months apart from the person you love, my summers are now spent with Seumas in the Mediterranean or wherever the yachts happen to go. Based in Antigua for the winter ( October to June ), our summer whereabouts change from season to season, (next summer Rhode Island, is looking like our new home, with Seumas on a new sailing yacht, Bequia) I love the unknown adventure, although sometimes it can be a little scary.
This summer we’ve been apart for 3 weeks, the distance is still a true test of our crazy love for each other. Seumas is a big part of my career and will often assist on trash the dress shoots. Be sure to check out the Travel Adventure category and Behind the Scenes for recent trips and trash the dress missions.

Everyone has a love story…..
