Sailing into 2013

Posted on Thursday, January 26th, 2012

Not many people know this but Seumas’s nomadic lifestyle as a yachtsman is a good forecast to my availability as a photographer. Luckily, for all of us, the yacht is here for the Caribbean season so i’m on island shooting weddings. What happens next year when the yacht is based in Europe for 2013? We haven’t decided. There is a high possibility that during our busiest months In Anitgua, I will fly back and forth. Thank you all for your 2013 inquiries we are putting together a schedule. What month are you getting married? Feel free to let us know.

In the meantime, enjoy the view from Seumas’s world.

To be listed with the top photographers in the wedding industry is rewarding, there’s a big island smile on my face. :)

Antigua and Barbuda in pictures

Posted on Tuesday, September 7th, 2010

My favourite shots from a recent editorial photoshoot. I’m proud to have these photos in my portfolio. Antigua is stunning! we have so much to cherish, our birds, beaches, dolphins, reefs, whales, mangrove systems, historical sites and the list goes on. Protect what we have. When it’s gone, it’s gone forever.

Don’t be frightened of the large tail ..it’s NOT a shark but a diving dolphin. :) I thoroughly enjoyed this project and hope more editorial work comes my way.

Barbuda

Posted on Saturday, May 29th, 2010

It was Christian ( fisherman from St.Barths who attended the Sports Fishing Tournament) inspired this post, in his own words..”after the great time we had @ the tournament, we spent a very cool day in Barbuda yesterday with all the St-Barths guys, having a cool bbq with grilled mahi-mahi and some rose wine, you imagine….”

I can imagine …..Rewinding to last year June, Seumas flew back to Antigua for 3 weeks after the Atlantic Delivery on Velsheda. We decided to have a quiet getaway in Barbuda for my birthday. Can’t believe that was almost a year ago..where does the time go? With so many scheduled beaches to choose from, we walked for miles without a person in sight. Barbuda to me, is the true meaning of Paradise, it’s you and the sand between your toes. We stayed at North Beach Cottages on the Northern side of the island where Ruben did a great job of looking after us.

So today, i plugged in the external hard drive from 2009 and decided to share with you our June trip to Antigua’s sister island, Barbuda.

Southern Coast

Vanessa…loving the water. Great shot by Seumas… we spent the day at a private beach in Five Islands, Antigua before adventuring off to Barbuda.

Some of the many beaches ….and the only person, is you.

My Uncles were camping on a catamaran for 10 days. We popped in for a visit before heading to North Beach

A beach for us, perfect!

Very flat terrain

Another shot by Seumas of Vanessa

Seumas coming back from a snorkel on the reef.

Vanessa’s lobster catch while Seumas read his book..lol….just messing. From memory this was dinner at the camp.

The wharf, waiting to be picked up by Ruben

The prettiest part of barbuda, North Side.

The turquoise waters glow in the background.
