We are behind on blogging. Digging through our archive I came across Chris and Karen’s Antigua Wedding held at The Tides located on the North side of the island. Beautiful spot for a wedding. Enjoy!

In Dec 2010 Nicole emailed to say she was looking to get married in Antigua sometime in Feb, with no particular date in mind. They decided to elope and needed my recommendation for a place to stay, the only criteria, Stephen loved to windsurf. I quickly put them in contact with Erin and David Fuller who run Dutchmans Bay Cottages on the Northern side of the island. Perfect location for 2 people escaping to Antigua and a 3 min drive to Jabberwock Beach for windsurfing rentals.

Here are some of my fav’s from this happy moment.

Nothing like a few unexpected visitors to set the vibe. The pelicans arrived and wanted to be apart of this photo shoot. Love IT. South Coast is one of my favourite places to shoot TTD. Brian and Valerie returned home to the USA with amazing photos of their Antigua experience.

Bring on the wedding season – FUN FUN FUN!!!

This is my 3rd trash the dress at Halfmoon Bay, earlier sessions took place Feb, and April, It’s a wicked spot for TTD sessions, there’s so much you can do. As a self taught photographer my goal is to learn something new from every session. Well today, i did just that. Before resting my head ( as it’s 1:30am ) i must preview 2 shots from today’s trash the dress.

My inspiration for this shot – the ocean, a full moon and a bride and groom ( of course ) . The idea of the full moon came from celebrating a friends birthday a few years back at this very location with a full moon. We had the best time and messed about with long exposures and a few lights, with a flash light even ( hmmm, can’t remember ). Ever since then i’ve always wanted to re-create that scene.

This shot was taken around 6:45 this evening and i definitely see more trash the dress sessions ending with long exposures. love IT!

At the start of the shoot, Elly kept saying, “i’m not getting my dress wet, i’m not!”….hahaha – minutes after her hubby, Pete, jumped in. Elly couldn’t watch any longer. Grabbing her in a fireman’s lift he swept off the dock into waist deep water. I love when brides go for it at the last minute!! Even though, Elly only managed to wade waist high, she was thrilled and managed to trek over to the washed up tree trunk for a few shots.

It was the perfect day to clearly see Montserrat’s active volcano too.
